Project Development Manager

Within the Development team, you will manage the development of identified projects towards final investment decision and construction. This covers a wide range of workstreams including ecological evaluation, community engagement, permitting, energy yield and grid connection assessments, and budget & programme management. You will also coordinate the procurement process with the support of the procurement team. The successful candidate will enjoy managing multiple workstreams and creatively solving challenges to minimize the cost and time of the developments, while maximizing the value to TagEnergy.

Lisbon

Senior Data Engineer

Working within a team whose mission is to lead innovation in the energy transition, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable data systems that advance our asset management, revenue performance and reporting capabilities, as well as shaping new and forward-looking technology projects.

 Profile:

  • 5+ years in data engineering or related roles;
  • Skilled in working with timeseries data from digital devices, energy markets and trading data, or similar;
  • Proficient in data processing using Python, or similar;
  • Experienced in version control (e.g. Git), and unit/integration testing
  • Knowledgeable in SQL dialects and modern cloud-based data storage solutions; comfortable managing database migrations;
  • Proficient in designing and managing automated workflows, including ETL and CI/CD pipelines.

Sydney

Transaction Analyst, Sydney

Within the Lisbon-based Finance team, you will work with the Transaction Director, focusing on financial modelling and transaction support, in the financing process of our projects development, through all stages of their life-cycle, (Development, Financing, Construction, Operating) and in all locations and different technologies where the company operates

Profile:

  • Qualifications in Applied Finance, Economics, Commerce, Actuarial Studies or Engineering;
  • 3-5 years experience in a Consulting / Advisory Firm, a project finance division of a Commercial Bank or in a finance division of a Renewables player (fund or IPP);
  • Strong modeling capabilities are a must-have;
  • Business acumen and hands-on approach.

Energy Market Analyst, Sydney

Within the Australian Energy Management team, you will provide data-driven insights and market analysis to inform decision-making in the development, contracting and optimization of utility-scale wind and battery storage projects. You will monitor and analyze Australian energy market trends across the National Electricity Market (NEM), develop forecasting models, and support the optimization of renewable energy assets. The role involves close collaboration with global energy management, project development, engineering, finance, and operations teams.

Profile:

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Economics/Business, Environmental Science, or related analytical field
  • At least 2-3 years experience in the energy industry with solid understanding of energy markets
  • Strong proficiency in energy market modeling, forecasting tools, and data analysis
  • Proficient in data processing using Python, or similar;
  • Experience in energy market analysis, trading, or operations is desirable
  • Excellent quantitative analysis and communication skills

Wind Engineer, Sydney

Based in Manly (Sydney) and reporting to the Technical Manager, the main tasks include:

Technical

  • Design and optimize wind farm layouts for lowest LCOE while respecting site constraints
  • Perform early and late-phase resource assessments, energy yield assessments, and wind flow modelling
  • Conduct noise assessments
  • Conduct quality control of wind data before analysis.
  • Conduct time series modelling of resources for grid assessment and other constraints.
  • Provide technical support for Environmental Impact Assessments and transactions, including technical due diligence and condition compliance.
  • Develop wind monitoring plans
  • Provide training and support to the development team to maintain knowledge and competency.
  • Engage and oversee specialist third-party consultants as required by workload to carry out the above tasks
  • Support the development team perform greenfield site identification, including performing technical risk assessments and wind resource estimates.
  • Conduct greenfield site-visits associated with the design of wind farm layouts and to support relocation of wind measurement devices
  • Support the technical discussions with the WTG suppliers and BoP contractors

Procurement

  • Support the negotiation of the technical schedules in the EPC and O&M contracts with wind turbine suppliers
  • Prepare RFPs for met mast and wind monitoring equipment
  • Support RFP process for selection of suppliers (wind turbines, battery, balance of plant) for Tag’s pipeline.

The scope and missions will evolve with TagEnergy’s projects and the candidate’s appetite and could also include project management.

Profile

  • Passion for renewable energy
  • Graduate degree in engineering
  • Experience with WindPro, OpenWind, or similar wind engineering software.
  • Experience in the design and optimization of wind farms.
  • 2-5 years in the renewable industry, ideally working for a wind OEM or wind consultancy
