Marta started her career at the European Investment Fund. First at the Equity Investment team, doing secondary sales of Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds and then in the Debt Service team, acting as a portfolio manager covering financial institutions spread throughout Europe.  

After that, Marta joined the investment team of China Three Gorges Europe, where she was responsible for identifying and analyzing a variety of investments/ M&A opportunities in the energy sector (e.g., acquisition of a minority stake in c.1 GW greenfield offshore wind farm (UK)). Finally, she was involved in the management/monitoring of operational and financial performance of existing investments, with a strong focus on EDP (CTG’s largest investment overseas). 

 After 3 years, she moved to the largest oil and gas company in Portugal, Galp, to work in the M&A department, where she was mainly focused on leading the overall execution of renewable transactions.
