David began his career as a corporate lawyer in London, advising clients in the technology and energy sectors on a broad range of transactions.

In 2017, he obtained an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona before joining Open Energi, a leading asset optimisation specialist in the UK. Following the acquisition of Open Energi by bp in 2021, David was appointed Commercial Director and worked closely with the bp trading team on grid scale battery projects.

David joined TagEnergy in 2023 as TagX Director and is responsible for the development of optimisation tools to support TagEnergy’s trading strategy and product innovation. He is based in Lisbon, Portugal.
