TagX Senior Software Engineer

TagX is a fast growing, dynamic technology unit within TagEnergy, focused on innovation, digital solutions, and business growth. We build the data and software systems that enable smarter asset management, trading, and operational decision-making across our energy portfolio.

You will help design and build the software and cloud infrastructure powering our data products, optimization systems, and operational tools.

Working closely with data scientists, data engineers, and energy domain experts you will lead architectural decisions, write production-grade code, and ensure our platforms are scalable, maintainable, and secure.

This is a hands-on role for someone with deep experience in Python and other languages, DevOps tooling, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native development. You’ll be expected to lead by example, propose and test new ideas, and help scale a platform that supports real-world decision-making in clean energy.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrable experience designing cloud-based systems and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Python skills (for application code and automation), plus knowledge in other languages (e.g., Go, Rust).
  • DevOps Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, etc).
  • Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform, including networking, storage, and compute services.
  • Able to balance technical trade-offs and think at both the application and infrastructure level.
  • Comfortable working with analytics and data science teams and translating their needs into technical systems.
  • A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field—or equivalent experience.

Transaction Analyst

Within our Transaction team, you will play a key role in supporting the transaction team across the full project lifecycle – from development through financing, construction, and operations. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust financial models, supporting M&A and financing processes, and providing analytical insights that shape strategic decisions.

Profile

  • 3-5 years of experience in Consulting / Advisory Firm, a project finance division of a Commercial Bank or in a finance division of a Renewables player (fund or IPP).
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities on excel, analytical/quantitative skills, presentation skills

Corporate Financial Controller

Within our Consolidation team in Lisbon, you will oversee accounting data from our global outsourced accounting firm, produce financial reporting, manage treasury, and ensure compliance with reporting and taxation rules across all Group geographies. You will also ensure IFRS compliance, streamline processes, support audits, and provide accurate financial insights to guide business decisions.

This role offers a clear path to senior finance leadership, from Senior Finance Controller to Finance Director, with increasing responsibility across global operations. High performers can progress to CFO or other strategic finance roles, influencing business growth, M&A, and investor relations.

Profile

  •  5+ years of experience in consolidation, group controlling and reporting under IFRS
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Senior Project Development Manager Germany

TagEnergy is growing its international presence in Europe by expanding its operations to Germany, the largest electricity market in Europe. Initially, we are building on our strong experience and track record in large scale batteries to combine these with clean power generation assets over time.

As the Senior Project Development Manager, reporting to the Managing Partner Germany, you are part of an entrepreneurial team at the forefront of the energy transition driving the company’s market entry and growth—both greenfield development and M&A—in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Develop TagEnergy current projects pipeline, identify new project opportunities, secure grid connections, relevant sites and related activities for BESS, wind and solar as well as hybrid assets;
  • Establish and manage development partnerships as well as all relevant local stakeholders from utilities, grid operators to municipalities and landowners;
  • Drive energy project development tasks for interconnection and permitting until ready-to-build and start of construction;
  • Manage viability of the business case of the projects and support modeling and procurement tasks;
  • Support the project financing negotiations;
  • Manage tender processes and M&A opportunities;
  • Contribute to the business strategy in the German market and help define future opportunities for clean power in the fast-changing regulatory and market conditions.

Profile

  • 5-10 years experience developing large scale renewable energy projects, preferably working with renewable energy developer, IPP, or grid operator IPP—BESS experience is a strong plus;
  • Ability to fit in TagEnergy culture and values: entrepreneurship, agility, teamwork and result focus;
  • Master’s degree in engineering or business administration—specialization in renewable energy, environment, or project management is a plus;
  • Practical experience with German permitting and planning processes for infrastructure, preferably renewable energy and/or battery storage;
  • Proven track record in managing interconnection with German TSOs/DSOs, including grid connection requests and technical requirements;
  • Reliable, rigorous and positive with a solution-oriented attitude;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build good working relationships (e.g. with landowners, local authorities, development partners, grid-operators, off-takers and lenders);
  • High level of integrity, ethical standards, sound judgement, as well as passion for making things happen—especially clean energy infrastructure;

Manly, Australia

Energy Market Analyst

Within our Energy Management team in Australia and working closely with the rest of the teams, you will support the analysis and strategic development of our renewable energy portfolio across Australian power markets including the NEM and WEM. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver data-driven insights that inform asset optimisation, revenue forecasting, trading operations and energy contracting decisions.

Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics/Business, Environmental Science, or a related analytical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in energy market analysis, trading, or consulting
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of Australian power markets and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
