Francois is Global Technical Director at TagEnergy, based in Sydney. He has over a decade of experience in the development, financing and construction of landmark renewable energy and storage projects in Australia.

After starting his career in strategy consulting in the energy sector, he moved to Australia in 2015, where he was Project Manager for the Hornsdale Power Reserve, Australia’s first utility-scale battery and the largest in the world at the time. He has also developed and taken to financial close 309 MW of wind and 460 MW of solar projects, and directly oversaw the construction of 760 MW of solar and battery projects.

In his role at TagEnergy, Francois heads the engineering, procurement and power systems teams, which together took the 1.3 GW Golden Plains Wind Farm, Australia’s largest, from development through delivery to on-schedule grid connection. He holds a Diplôme d’Ingénieur from École Polytechnique in Paris and a Master of Science from UC Berkeley.
