Mat started his career as a Civil Engineer working on various road, landfill gas recouperation, wind farm and National Grid substation construction projects.  He pivoted to join National Grid as a Substation Engineer and progressed to manage National Grids current year and tactical investment plans for North Wales, Cheshire, and Merseyside.  Keen to make a more substantial impact on Net Zero, Mat joined PeakGen to Project Manage a 400kV Shunt Reactor installation, develop BESS projects and Project Direct a JV bid for Pathfinder Stability 3, which went on to win the largest share of any company to have tendered.
